ARO, K!HA, Paul Allen and the Saga Apps

ARO (formerly K!HA) was Paul Allen's Seattle-based software research and development company. I was creative director for 5 years.

We would adapt technology that Mr. Allen had acquired into experimental apps. The most promising of these experiments would be productized and released on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Our secret ingredient was machine learning, semantic analysis, natural language processing and sensor data.

See my specific case studies on some of the apps we created including Saga, Brightly, Bubbleator, Overheard and Spry.
